Lorain County Metro Parks offers three beautiful facilities for your special event. Our large venues are perfectly suited for your most memorable gatherings from wedding ceremonies to family reunions. We also serve your business needs for meetings and networking events. Consider hosting your next event at one of our venues and immerse your guests in the beauty of the Lorain County Metro Parks.

Thirty days’ notice is required to reserve an event space. Full payment is due at the time of booking. Access to these venues (for rehearsals, setup, cleanup, etc.) is restricted to your rented hours. We cannot alter the designated time blocks to extend your rental. However, you can rent more than one time block.

SUNSET TERRACE AT LAKEVIEW PARK

Enjoy the picturesque shores of Lake Erie at Lorain County Metro Parks' Sunset Terrace at Lakeview Park. This crown jewel guarantees endless photo opportunities with its historical rose garden, gazebo, and breathtaking views of Lake Erie and the Lorain Lighthouse. At Sunset Terrace your special event is sure to be everything you envision.

AVAILABILITY: Once availability is confirmed, LCMP requires a signed contract and full payment to finalize your reservation and hold your date. All emailed contracts must be sent to events@loraincountymetroparks.com and will be processed in the order they are received. Contracts may also be delivered to Lorain County Metro Parks, c/o Special Events Coordinator, 12882 Diagonal Road, LaGrange, OH 44050. Your reservation and date are not guaranteed unless a contract and full payment are received. Checks should be made out to Lorain County Metro Parks.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: Fees are non‐refundable if cancellation is requested less than three months prior to the reserved date. If cancellation is requested more than three months from the reserved date, customers are eligible for a refund not greater than 50% of fees paid to Lorain County Metro Parks for the reservation. Cancellation requests received after regular business hours (8 a.m.‐4:30 p.m., Monday‐Friday) will be documented as received on the following business day. This policy is also included in the contract.

ALCOHOL POLICY: Alcohol is permitted but requires a certificate of liability insurance and an additional security fee. You can obtain insurance online at www.venueliability.com/LorainCountyMetroparks. You may also purchase insurance through a provider of your choice, but proof must be uploaded at www.venueliability.com/LorainCountyMetroparks. Additionally, all evening events (after 4 pm) serving alcohol will be assessed a $225 security fee. Proof of insurance and payment of the security fee must be submitted at least 90 days before your event.

ORCHID ROOM AT MILLER NATURE PRESERVE

The Orchid Room at the Metro Parks' Miller Nature Preserve is a scenic space perfect for your special event. This venue features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking picturesque gardens, ponds, and walking trails.

HENRY’S BARN AT THE NORTH STAR PRESERVE

Originally built in 1885, Henry’s Barn is full of character and perfect for your next special event. Located at the Metro Parks’ North Star Preserve in Oberlin, the barn was reconstructed from the original wood and features exposed wood beam ceilings. Invite your guests onto the deck patio overlooking a picturesque pond with an illuminated fountain.

Henry’s Barn is rich in local history. The building was originally located on South Professor Street behind one of Oberlin’s prestigious upper-class family homes.
