Lorain County Metro Parks has partnered with TrueNorth Cultural Arts to provide an exciting variety of both fine arts and performing arts programming. The diverse opportunities include theatre productions and classes; musical concerts running the gamut from classical to classic rock; and fine art shows featuring paintings, jewelry and ceramics. In 2007, Lorain County Metro Parks and TrueNorth Cultural Arts became partners. Through this partnership, TrueNorth, a non-profit established in 1999 by Richard A. Fortney, exposes Lorain County Metro Parks visitors to symphonic and choral presentations as well as theatre productions. The diverse opportunities include theater productions and classes; musical concerts running the gamut from classical to classic rock; and fine art shows featuring paintings, jewelry and ceramics. Highlighting this collaboration is the commissioning, and staging, of theatrical productions unique to Lorain County.

French Creek Nature & Arts Center is located on more than 400 beautiful acres of park land in Sheffield Village. The facility, where TrueNorth Cultural Arts operates, has two theaters: Ewing Hall and the Pijor Hall, which seats 200 and 80, respectively. The building is also home to small animal exhibits, a wildlife observation area, indoor playground, and retail art gallery.
