Bur Oak Picnic Area, Black River Reservation

From LaGrange, Carlisle Township, Penfield: Take State Rt. 301 north to State Rt.10 east. Take Rt. 10 to Rte 57. Take Rte 57 north to Gulf Road. Turn right onto Gulf Road. Go about 3 miles to Ford Rd., and turn left onto Ford Rd. (If you come to Rte 254 before finding Ford Rd., you’ve gone too far.) The entrance to the Bur Oak Use Area is about a 1/2 mile down on Ford Rd.

From Vermilion: Take Rt. 2 east to Community College exit (Rt. 254/Rt. 301 exit). Turn left off exit ramp onto Rt. 254. Take Rt. 254 to Gulf Rd. (is called East River Rd. on north side of Rt. 254) just before the bridge. Turn left onto Gulf Rd. and then right onto Ford Rd. The entrance to the Bur Oak Use Area is about a mile down and will be on your right.

From Avon, Avon Lake, Sheffield: Take Rt. 254 west to Gulf Rd. Turn left onto Gulf Rd. and then right onto Ford Rd. The entrance to the Bur Oak Use Area is about a mile down and will be on your right.

Vermilion River Reservation

Mill Hollow Area: The park entrance is located at the intersection of Vermilion Rd. and North Ridge Rd., four miles south of Vermilion.

From LaGrange, Grafton: Take Rt. 303 west to Rt. 511. Turn right and go north on 511. This turns into Vermilion Rd., which takes you directly into the park.

Via State Route 2, from the East: Take Rt. 2 west to the Baumhart Rd. exit. Turn left (south) off the exit ramp onto Baumhart Rd. Take Baumhart to N. Ridge Rd. Turn right onto N. Ridge Rd. which will take you to the park entrance.

Via Ohio Turnpike: Take the Ohio Turnpike to Baumhart Rd. Exit 135. Take Baumhart Rd. north to North Ridge Rd. Turn left on North Ridge and take it to the park entrance.

From North Ridgeville: Take Center Ridge Rd. west to Rt. 57. Turn right onto Rt. 57. Take Rt. 57 to Rt. 113. Go west on Rt. 113 through South Amherst to Baumhart Rd. Turn right (north) onto Baumhart. Take Baumhart to North Ridge Rd. Turn left onto North Ridge Rd. Take North Ridge to the park entrance.

Lakeview Park

1800 West Erie Avenue. Lorain, Ohio 44052

From the south (Wellington, Oberlin, Amherst): Follow SR 58/ Leavitt Road north to US 6W/ Erie Ave in Lorain. Turn right onto W. Erie Ave., head east for 0.5 miles. The park will be on your left hand side.

Elyria, North Ridgeville, Grafton, Columbia: Follow SR 57 north to US 6/W. Erie Ave. in Lorain. Turn left onto W. Erie Ave, heading west for 0.8 miles. Lakeview Park will be on your right.

From Vermilion, Erie County: Follow US 6/Liberty Ave. into Lorain. Lakeview Park will on the left hand side about 0.5 miles past Rt. 58.

From the east (Sheffield Lake, Avon Lake): Follow US 6/ Lake Road into Lorain. Go past Broadway Avenue and Lakeview Park will be on the right hand side.

From Sheffield, Avon: Follow SR 611/Colorado Ave. to US 6/E. Erie Ave. in Lorain. Turn Right onto Broadway Ave. Follow Broadway Ave until you come to Rt 6. Turn left onto Rt. 6 and follow for about 0.8 miles. Lakeview Park will be on your right.

From the Turnpike: Via I-80/90: Take the turnpike to exit 140/ Rt. 58 Amherst-Oberlin. Go north on Rt. 58 to Rt. 6. Turn right onto Rt. 6 and go about 0.5 miles. Lakeview Park will be on your left.
