Make a Rain Painting

The next time it is raining out, get some heavy paper (try construction paper) and color some shapes using watercolor or poster paints or markers. Place the paper in the rain and watch the patterns that the raindrops make in the paint. Try this in a gentle rain and a harder rain and see if the pictures look different. Don’t leave the paper out too long or the paint or markers will wash away.
