Food Vendor/Truck Opportunities


Lorain County Metro Parks is seeking proposals for food truck services for select events throughout the year. Events, locations, expected attendance and any associated fees are listed below. All proposals should include a sample of menu items, purchase minimums, and percentage or donations paid to the Park District. Please submit proposals 45 days in advance of the event.

Thank you for your interest in our food vending opportunities. Lorain County Metro Parks hosts a variety of events throughout the year in which we select food vendors and food trucks.

Venders must provide:

  1. Photos of your booth, cart or food truck (please include booth/truck dimensions)
  2. Proof of insurance
  3. Proposed menu items and cost per item
  4. Applicants must provide list of three prior events served.
  5. Interested parties must submit an application at least 45 days prior to the event to be considered.

Duplicate products may be denied entry. In the event of duplicate items, the grading criteria is as follows: authenticity, menu items, vendor truck appearance, past performance and value of products and services.

Lorain County Metro Parks is a county tax supported agency, and in the interest of supporting local businesses, considerations will be given to those vendors within Lorain County.

Herb Fair

Description: Gear up for the spring season at the Mill Hollow Herb Fair! Experience a variety of pioneer craftsman activities, while shopping local herb and craft vendors. This is an annual event.

Anticipated Attendance: 500 - 1,000
Food Vendor Fee: $50
Food Vendor Request: 2 vendors

 


Winter Days

Juneteenth Blues Fest

Location:

Lakeview Park,
1800 West Erie Ave., Lorain

Date/Time:

June
3 - 7pm

Description: This annual event includes food trucks, pound cake contest, fun and sweet sound of Blues music. This year we will be joined by Luther Trammel along with Charlita Anderson White on harmonica. International artist Wallace Coleman will take us back to the original blues sound that has influenced genres of music.

Anticipated Attendance: 300 - 500
Food Vendor Fee: $50

Mill Hollow Car Show

Description: This annual events brings in classic cars from all over the state. Event includes hundreds of vintage vehicles, food, and fun!

Anticipated Attendance: 5,000
Food Vendor Fee: $250, sales above $1,000 requires a 10% donation back to the Lorain County Metro Parks
Food Vendor Request: 10 vendors

Mill Hollow Concert Series

Sundays, July - August

Description: Join us for an evening of music at our Mill Hollow pavilion. Music includes variety of genres each season.

Anticipated Attendance: 200/show
Food Vendor Fee: $250 for entire concert series
Food Vendor Request: 1 vendor for complete series

Adventure Fest

Description: Try your hand at a variety of outdoor adventure sports. From fishing derbys to rock climbing, disc golf and archery, there's something for everyone.

Anticipated Attendance: 2,000 - 3,000
Food Vendor Fee: $25, sales above $1,000 require a 10% donation back to the Lorain County Metro Parks
Food Vendor Request: 3 vendors

Halloween Fair

Location:

Carlisle Visitor Center,
Carlisle Reservation
12882 Diagonal Rd., LaGrange

Date/Time:

Last three Fridays and Saturdays in October,
5 - 10pm

Description: The Halloween Ghouls and Goblins appear at Carlisle Visitor Center for three weekends in October. The ½-mile walking trail and complementary train trail is decorated with all your Halloween favorites! Fair includes carnival games, food vendors, and scary stations.

Anticipated Attendance: 30,000 total visitors over three weekends
Food Vendor Fee: 15% of all sales donated back to the Lorain County Metro Parks
Food Vendor Request: 4 vendors with the commitment for all three weekends. Vendors must leave their trucks on the premises.
