Times: 4pm - 7:40pm
Location: French Creek Reservation & Burrell Homestead, 4951 French Creek Rd., Sheffield Village, OH 44054
Cost: $5 per person (Pre-registration is required)

Face your fears and test your courage as you play the role of a pre-Civil War slave travelling the Underground Railroad. Risking being caught by bounty hunters to be sold to the Deep South, you’ll flee from your captors encountering potential friends and foes along your escape to the north. Not knowing who to trust and unsure of your fate, you’ll experience firsthand the trials of those involved in this conflicted period of our nation’s history. French Creek Theatre’s re-enactors will provide dramatic and emotion-evoking performances fit to leave a lasting impression, blending arts with factual historical educational content.

Participants are advised to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy hiking shoes, as the program takes place mostly outside. Some portions of the walking trail are uneven and unimproved, and light will be limited as the night approaches. The program is not recommended for children under 8 years old due to the mature nature of the content; strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs are prohibited for safety reasons.

Groups leave Pine Tree Picnic Area’s Shelter #1 (located at 4951 French Creek Rd, Sheffield Village, OH 44054) at 4:00, 4:20, 4:40, 5:00, 5:40, 6:00, 6:20, 7:00, 7:20, & 7:40 pm, hiking the connector trail to the Burrell home. Following the hour-long re-enactment experience, a shuttle bus will transport participants back to French Creek Reservation’s Pine Tree Picnic Area. A small fee of $5 per person covers the costs of the program. Pre-registration and payment by April 12 is required; register for a group timeslot below or call (440) 458-5121 or (440) 949-5200.

Performances: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
Cost: $10 - $18 per ticket
Location: French Creek Nature & Arts Center

Theatre has the privilege and the power to reach us exactly where we are in our lives. In hope or hardship, in revelry or wretchedness, our own experiences are reflected in the stories onstage. Seeing the semblance of ourselves in other characters can help us make sense of life’s complexities, finding what we stand for; or sometimes we’re simply reminded what a wonder life is, giving us cause to celebrate. French Creek’s 2018-2019 Season features the fun and the fearless, the playful and the provocative, offering audiences an extraordinary breadth of theatrical performance to enjoy and connect with. Keeping that in mind, we present to you our 2018-2019 French Creek Theatre season. See you at the theatre!

Purchase tickets to any of this season's shows by visiting the French Creek Theatre website or by calling 440-949-5200.
